Dear Friends of Florida-Israel Institute,

It is with regret that due to budgetary realities, the Florida-Israel Institute is indefinitely discontinuing the Film Series and Lecture Series.

Having said that, Florida-Israel Institute will seriously consider reviving the Film Series and Lecture Series during November through March when more friends of the Film Series and Lecture Series are in Florida.

But, this will require an attendance of at least 100 persons paying $10.00 per person for each film screening.

We thank you for your attendance these past several years and your faithful support of the Film Series and Lecture Series.

On a personal note, I want to thank my former co-director, Dr. Zvi Roth, who like myself, could not be with you today. Dr. Roth, as many of you know, has been an ardent champion of the Film Series and Lecture Series. I also want to thank Shari Saylor who has been the Institute’s superb full-time and, then, part-time executive secretary since the Fall of 2005.

I also want to thank Nate who has provided the Series with technical service and support.

Finally, I want to thank Dr. Miri Talmon-Bohm and Professor Nava Dushi without whom this Series would not have been possible and without whom any future series would be impossible.
